Fakin' It
Fakin' It

The fake American Apparel ads were faked. I'm a little disappointed.

Last month, the prankster behind the faux guerrilla campaign revealed to Animal NY that the posters scattered around the city were actually Photoshopped across real downtown billboards. The story spread around the Internet like herpes through our favorite cranky copywriter, Copyranter (and, subsequently, the New York-centric gossip sites).

Who's behind the project? The artsy, sort-of-indefinable blog Stereo Hell, playing on American Apparel's notoriously naughty ads that are just…just everywhere. AA, you've been brandjacked. Feeling used? Sounds like you're perfect for a billboard. (Via)
